Dan is the Director of the Pacific Storytellers Cooperative at PREL. He has spent the last decade traveling and listening to stories of people all across the Pacific Islands region.
As a photographer and writer, Dan has worked with a variety of organizations including: National Geographic, The Guardian, Outside Magazine, Sierra Club, UNESCO, Humanity United, Civil Beat, Honolulu Star Advertiser, and others. He is particularly interested in the stories that transcend boundaries of language, culture, and beliefs—stories that resonate with all people from all backgrounds.
In addition to his role at PREL, Dan is also a crewmember of the Polynesian Voyaging Society, a National Geographic Explorer, and an Explorers Club Fellow. He received his Master’s degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University.
